Jewellery workshop
At Michael Jones Jeweller, we understand that Jewellery can have huge significance in one's life. We know that because of the sentimental and monetary value of these items, they must be handled with the utmost care and respect. You can be safe in the knowledge that work can be carried out in house, by our two fully trained Goldsmiths, without ever leaving the company.
Repairs
Whatever your jewellery requirements, our workshop will be happy to help. We are able to carry out all repair work, cleaning, ring sizing, restoration of antique pieces and the sourcing and setting of stones.Watch Workshop
Time governs all our lives; we rely on our timepiece in nearly all we do. Perhaps this is why we become so attached to our timepieces. When your watch stops or keeps the wrong time, you need to know it will be repaired swiftly and professionally. We have three trained horologists in a fully equipped workshop, that can carry out all repairs or servicing to maintain your watch stays in good condition. Able to work on most watches, they perform to an exacting standard. We are accredited to work on all our stocked watches including Rolex, Cartier, Breitling, Tag Heuer and other leading brands.Servicing
To ensure timekeeping; it is prudent to service a watch approximately every three years, depending on the model. Your watch shall be stripped and cleaned and the horologist shall check all parts for signs of wear or damage. Seals will be replaced and when reassembled and precisely oiled the timepiece shall be tested for both resistance to water and timekeeping.Cell replacement
Sometimes seen as a simple, under the trained hand and eye of the horologist it can be an important procedure. Care is taken in opening the watch to ensure no damage is incurred. The visible movement shall be cleaned to avoid disturbed material entering the movement. It shall also be checked for signs of damage or wear. Resealed with care to ensure it remains protected, we can then pressure test the watch to its required depths ensuring its resistance to water. We also have at our disposal analysis machines to ensure the timekeeping and cell consumption is within tolerance.Refinishing
Your watch may be keeping accurate time, but starting to show the marks of everyday living. The workshop is able to expertly refinish your case and bracelet. They will take the utmost care to only remove the minimal amount of metal keeping the lines and crispness intended by the manufacturer. They can then reproduce the grain or satin finishes leaving a watch looking as good as new.q
