Also, a UTC module is embedded in the Rouleaux bracelet. UTC stands for Coordinated Universal Time, and it provides a way to keep track of a second time zone and is a quirky Breitling feature dating back to the 1980s. Still, this all-purpose sports watch won’t get in the way of your sense of style. The Super Chronomat comes in several colour and metal variations, from stainless steel to 18k red gold.

It either features the iconic Rouleaux bracelet or a rubber Rouleaux-inspired strap, matched with a folding clasp. The Super Chronomat B01 44 is powered by the Breitling Manufacture Calibre 01, a COSC-certified chronometer.

CHRONOMAT: THE ALL PURPOSE ELEGANT SPORTS WATCH
Breitling’s all-purpose watch for your every pursuit, at home both on the red carpet and at the beach. Introduced in 1984, the Chronomat celebrated Breitling’s centenary in style and marked the return of the mechanical chronograph. Nearly forty years later, the Chronomat is set to appeal to men and women of purpose, action and style.

History of Breitling

Getting into the watch manufacturing business in the mid-1880s was no easy feat. Switzerland was experiencing the worst part of a long recession. Yet, despite the economic difficulty, social unrest and uncertainty about the future, 24-year-old Léon Breitling stayed true to his vision of creating instruments that could measure, divide and master time.

Today, Georges Kern and his team continue the rich tradition that began in a small workshop in St. Imier in 1884. The product portfolio was restructured around the brand's three historic universes: Air, Land and Sea. Breitling redefined itself as "a generalist Swiss watch brand offering a cool, informal and inclusive alternative" to traditional watchmakers.
