Thank you for choosing Michael Jones Jeweller for your purchase. We are confident that our craftsmanship will meet and exceed your expectations. We believe that all our products are of the highest quality and will guarantee all purchases against manufacturing defects for 1 year unless stated otherwise or covered by a brand guarantee which can be up to 8 years. These rights are additional to and do not detract from your statutory rights. To ensure your satisfaction and provide transparency, we offer the following warranty coverage:

Jewellery Warranty

At Michael Jones Jeweller we cover all jewellery items purchased from us against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase.

What's covered?

Manufacturing defects are covered by this warranty, including but not limited to:

  • Faulty clasps or closures
  • Loose or missing gemstones
  • Structural issues related to the precious metal
  • Issues with claws or settings

What's not covered?

  • Wear and tear from normal use
  • Accidental damage
  • Loss or theft of the product
  • Damage resulting from improper care, cleaning, or maintenance
  • Modifications or alterations made by non-authorised third parties
  • Damage caused by exposure to harsh chemicals, extreme temperatures, or environmental factors

 

How to claim under the Warranty:

You are welcome to bring your item into any of our stores, along with the original purchase receipt, where one of our highly qualified team members will be able to assist you.

If you are unable to visit us, please contact our customer service team who will arrange the collection of your item. This is a free service within the UK.
Once received, our experts will assess the item and determine if the issue is covered under warranty.

If the issue is deemed a manufacturing defect, Michael Jones Jeweller will repair or replace the item at no cost to you.

If our assessment determines that the damage is not covered under the warranty, we will promptly notify you. If repair services are available, we will provide a free estimate or advise on alternative options.

A note on coloured gemstones: It is important to acknowledge that slight irregularities and variations in craftsmanship, as well as natural characteristics or internal inclusions, visible or otherwise, are inherent in coloured gemstones and unique to each item. These features contribute to the distinct character of the item and should not be considered defects.

  • This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.
  • Any unauthorised repairs or modifications will void this warranty.
  • This warranty is separate from products covered under individual brand warranties. Please refer to the specific brand's warranty for details on coverage and terms.

Complimentary In-Store Ring Maintenance Service:

We also provide a free in-store ring cleaning and checking service. We recommend that customers utilise this service every 6 months to ensure the security of gemstones and identify any potential structural issues. Please visit any Michael Jones Jeweller store to take advantage of this complimentary service. Our ring cleaning and checking service takes approximately 1 hour, you can leave the ring with us or you are welcome to enjoy a coffee while you browse our stores.

Watches sold by Michael Jones Jeweller are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty for the periods stated below. For full details on what is covered by the warranty please consult the individual brand websites. Please note: warranties are void if work is carried out on the watch by unauthorised third parties.

Michael Jones Jeweller Quartz Warranty

The power cell in quartz watches is inserted before shipment from the country of origin and may have a remaining life at the date of purchase which is shorter than the guarantee period. Manufacturer guarantees do not cover the power cell.

At Michael Jones Jeweller, we guarantee all batteries for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase. This only applies to watches purchased from Michael Jones Jeweller and is in addition to the manufacturer warranty. If your quartz watch stops, simply bring your watch to one of our stores with the warranty card, for the battery to be replaced free of charge.

 

Michael Jones Jeweller Pre-owned Watches

Unless otherwise stated, all our pre-owned watches are sold with a 12 month Warranty with Michael Jones Jeweller. This only covers the movement of the watch. The following watch parts are excluded from the warranty: battery, glass/crystal, crown and pushers, every type of strap and bracelet, and every type of decoration and jewellery.

 

How to claim under the Watch Warranty:

Watches covered by a Manufacturer (brand) Warranty -
You are welcome to bring your item into any of our stores, along with the original purchase receipt and manufacturers warranty card (where applicable), where one of our highly qualified team members will be able to assist you.

Alternatively, if you are unable to visit one of our stores, you can take it to your nearest authorised stockist of the brand and they will be able to assist you.

Once received, the watch will be sent to the manufacturers service centre who will assess the item and determine if the issue is covered under warranty. If the issue is covered by the warranty, the manufacturer will proceed with repair or replacement in accordance with their warranty procedures stipulated in their warranty guidelines..

If their assessment determines that the damage is not covered under the warranty, and estimate for repair will be provided for your approval. 

Watches covered by the Michael Jones Jeweller Warranty - 
You are welcome to bring your item into any of our stores, along with the original purchase receipt, where one of our highly qualified team members will be able to assist you.

If you are unable to visit us, please contact our customer service team who will arrange the collection of your item. This is a free service within the UK.
Once received, our experts will assess the item and determine if the issue is covered under warranty.

If the issue is deemed to be covered under the Warranty, Michael Jones Jeweller will repair or replace the item at no cost to you.

A note on mechanical and automatic watches: Mechanical and Automatic are not always 100% accurate and may lose or gain seconds per day. Please refer to the individual brand guidelines for the acceptable tolerance for your specific model. If watches are within the stated tolerance this will not be considered as a manufacturing defect.

We do not charge for our MJJ Guarantee. Consult individual brand websites for details on any charges for their extended warranties.

Consumer Right to Reject

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, customers have a legal right to reject goods that are of unsatisfactory quality, unfit for purpose or not as described, and get a full refund. This right is limited to 30 days from the date the product is purchased. After 30 days, customers will no longer be legally entitled to a full refund if the item develops a fault.
