Proud to Support the Cynthia Spencer Hospice Twilight Walk

At Michael Jones Jeweller, we are passionate about supporting the communities we serve, so we were incredibly proud to sponsor this year's Cynthia Spencer Hospice Twilight Walk.

The event brought together hundreds of people from across Northamptonshire for an inspiring evening of remembrance, reflection and community spirit. Starting and finishing at Delapré Abbey, participants took on either a 5km or 10km route, many walking in memory of loved ones who had received care from Cynthia Spencer Hospice, while others joined simply to show their support for an important local cause.

The atmosphere throughout the evening was truly special. Families, friends, colleagues and community groups came together dressed in bright colours, glow sticks and fancy dress, creating a warm and uplifting experience that perfectly reflected the spirit of the event. As a non-competitive, family-friendly walk, the Twilight Walk welcomed people of all ages and abilities, demonstrating the incredible sense of togetherness that exists within Northamptonshire.

As sponsors of the event, we were especially proud that members of our own team from the Michael Jones Jeweller showroom in Northampton's Grosvenor Centre also took part in the walk. Joining hundreds of other participants, our colleagues embraced the opportunity to support a cause that means so much to many people across the county while experiencing first-hand the incredible community spirit that made the evening so memorable.

Cynthia Spencer Hospice provides vital specialist palliative care and support to people living with life-limiting illnesses across West Northamptonshire, both within the hospice and in patients' homes. The work they do for patients and their families is invaluable, and fundraising events such as the Twilight Walk play a crucial role in helping to fund these essential services.

We were delighted to see so many people taking part and helping to raise awareness and funds for the hospice. The success of the Twilight Walk is a testament not only to the dedication of the organisers and volunteers but also to the generosity and compassion of our local community.

Supporting initiatives like the Twilight Walk reflects the values that have guided Michael Jones Jeweller for generations. Through our Community Fund, we donate more than £40,000 each year to local charities, schools and community projects across Northampton and Banbury, supporting more than 50 causes annually. We are proud to work alongside organisations that make a genuine difference to people's lives, including Cynthia Spencer Hospice, Workbridge and The Lowdown.

Our commitment to the community extends beyond financial support. From funding wellbeing projects at Northampton General Hospital and supporting students through university scholarships, to backing local arts and culture through Royal & Derngate, we are committed to creating a lasting positive impact wherever we can.

Events like the Cynthia Spencer Hospice Twilight Walk remind us of the power of community and the importance of supporting organisations that provide care, comfort and hope to local families when they need it most.

We would like to congratulate everyone involved in making the event such a success and thank all those who took part, volunteered or donated.

At Michael Jones Jeweller, supporting our community is at the heart of who we are.
