Breitling’s ultimate all-purpose sports watch is ready for anything. The Chronomat holds apivotal place in the brand’s modern history. Introduced for Breitling’s centennial in 1984,at a time when quartz movements dominated, it marked a bold return to mechanicallydriven watches. It was born from a collaboration with the beloved Italian aerobaticsquadron, the Frecce Tricolori. When the team asked for an analogue timepiece that couldwithstand the intensity of a jet cockpit and still look stylish enough to be worn to formalevents - Breitling developed the “Chronograph Frecce Tricolori.” It was the blueprint forthe Chronomat to follow one year later.Available in stainless steel, 18ct red gold, or in steel with a platinum bezel, the ChronomatB01 42 features an instantly recognisable bezel with its four raised rider tabs at the 15-minute marks. Available in a range of colourful dials, the Chronomat has a fully integratedsignature Rouleaux bracelet with micro adjustments on both sides of the clasp. True tothe original, the Chronomat is powered by the in-house Breitling Manufacture Calibre 01.It is a tried and tested COSC-certified chronograph calibre with a 6 o’clock date and a 70-hour power reserve. The case is water resistant to 200 m, making it ready for everyenvironment.
